The late great world champion Andy Irons shopped at K-Coast! During an East Coast Promo Tour with Shane Dorian, Andy was told he had to fly directly to South Africa for a photo session without being able to get home first. Needing the best equipment for the trip, Andy chose to shop at K-Coast for a new surfboard, board bag, traction pad, wetsuits and leash. Why would the then reigning ASP World Champion choose to shop at K-Coast over any other surf shop in Maryland and Delaware? Knowledgable service and huge selection! K-Coast Surf Shop is Ocean City born and bred! At first it was just the owners, then we had to take on a few local kids to help us out. But, as the shop kept getting busier and busier and the stores expanded we now look for the highest quality seasonal staff of young eager retail pros to assist our knowledgable year-round veterans. K-Coast prides itself on friendly customer service and complete product knowlegde of the products and services we offer. While we now employ over eighty people during the height of the summer at all three locations, we still service our customers as if it were 1989 back in the small shop. Service is the reason we have grown to where we are. Our staff loves surfing and the ocean lifestyle because that is what we do! K-coast Surf Shop and K-coast Girl are now taking applications for the 2012 summer season. We start to plan our summer staff well in advance and pour through hundreds of applicants to take only the best candiates. To have the best chance of gaining summer employment we look for staff members that can work through Labor Day and are available weekends during the off season. Working at K-Coast is a great experience and a great deal of fun but be prepared to work because we are extremely busy servicing thousands of customers each day.
